many objects in its pitch-blackness. It would never let light to shine on
things. Why do Humans fear the darkness? Some people said that the reason was
because the Fear of Death was in the Fear of Darkness…
At the watchtower, Scar Face requested Darkness to teach Gau Ban the only thing he knew. In the land of Soulfan, the soldiers were training themselves heavily as the advisors were searching for Master Leen who had disappeared after the Blorahan Lightening Attack. They felt that Master Leen was the only one capable of leading them into victory.
Len Fuuma had returned from Litoka and Felicia after defeating their warriors and Cevars. The Hidden Enemy of Ashiliana told Len that he wanted the 3 cities to break their oaths of peace and attack Kuruda like beasts. Then, Ashiliana would be in total chaos.
Meanwhile, Elle decided to teach Gau the Ultimate Shadow Skill Technique, Kanon, which could be only to be taught through the word of mouth. The Kanon used vibrating sound waves that were powerful enough to shatter the opponents to bits. She demonstrated and crushed a huge boulder to dust. Elle told Gau to master it as soon as possible because she would be punished severely for breaking the Rules of the 4 Fighters. Time was not on their side.
Dais Lag found Scar Face at the wastage dump and questioned his intentions. Scar Face evaded it causally. Dais coldly told him to find strength within himself and not through others, especially Gau He also warned Scar Face to stop influencing him in his own teachings.
Late at night, Darkness went to the Octopus restaurant. Using Dais’ voice, he tricked Gau to come to the forest located at the edge of the city. In the morning, Gau took a boat and went straight to the forest. At there, Gau saw the sky becoming dark. Darkness appeared and icily told Gau that he was the one who had sent for him. The reason was because he wanted Gau to fight him. If Gau refused to fight back, he would return to dust he came from. With one blow, Darkness slashed Gau’s neck.
In town, Kyou met Dais and was surprised that Gau wasn’t with him. Instantly, Dais headed straight to the forest and told Kyou to get Elle.
Darkness continued to taunt Gau’s reasons for fighting. Besides, having faith and love by his friends, Gau had forgotten one vital thing, the fear of death and that was what Darkness was going to teach him. He went on saying when Gau’s hometown was destroyed and his family killed, Gau grew up having vengeance and hatred instead of having the fear of death in him. However, Gau had forgotten about it. Thus, allowing doubts to cloud his mind and affecting his fighting performances. Darkness dared Gau to have those feelings of vengeance and hatred and to bring out the beast in him like he did in his childhood. If Gau failed to do so, Gau Ban Black Howling would no longer exist.
On top of a watchtower, Scar Face was standing there, watching from above.
