Since ancient times, Kuruda was said to be ‘easy to defend’ but ‘difficult to attack’. Kuruda was located on an island that had natural fortress. The surrounding mountains prevented army formations and the only way to break though Kuruda was through the main gate that had kept invaders at bay. Now, the great army of Soulfan, had begun their massive attack to put an end to Kuruda’s 2000 years of undefeated history…

From the city walls, Elle’s face was very grim as she watched the Octopus restaurant (the first target of the Soulfan army) burned down to ashes. As the massive Soulfan army continued their march towards the main gate, Low returned to the palace to accompany King Eva Stolla in the Hall of Hades. For the City of Juliennes, the decreased flow of Souma had made the city unstable, causing it to head towards Kuruda (remember that the City of Juliennes was the city built in skies). At the Juliennes palace, Kai Sink requested Holy Lazalem Priestess, Guinevia to conduct the ritual of moon summoning to quicken the return of Lunalis Lumbra. A man came in and reported that the Soulfan armies were heading towards Kuruda. Scar Face assured Sir Gardo and Holy Knight Folestence that they has the best fighters to defend Kuruda.

Elle planned to stall the Soulfan armies while Gau climbed the mountains and attack the Soulfan army from behind. As Elle stood on top of Kuruda’ main gate, intimidating the Soulfan armies, Gau was already climbed the mountains and running through the forest. Halfway through the forest, Gau encountered Master Leen, the leader of the Soulfan army. Master Leen told Gau that he was no longer the leader of the Soulfan army. After the Blorahan Lightening Assault, Master Leen had left the Soulfan army to explore the conditions of other countries and discovered that someone had infiltrated the theory of the Extermination of the Holy City into Soulfan. Due to the severe poverty that Soulfan had, Master Leen and the other leaders were easily influenced by the theory, thus, leading into this senseless war, which would ultimately make the Soulfan a loser in the end. Master Leen asked Gau to join him in convincing the Soulfan army to stop their invasion in Kuruda.

Then, Len Fuuma appeared, laughing evilly. Master Leen decided to fight Len while Gau stops the Soulfan army in his place. Gau ran off but strangely stopped halfway to watch Master Leen’s fight with Len. Sadly for Master Leen, he was completely no match for Len Fuuma and Gau was too frightened to do anything. Meanwhile, Elle was beginning to get worried, even more when she saw part of a mountain cliff crashing down into the sea. Apparently, Len Fuuma destroyed part of the cliff in attempt to kill Gau and Master Leen. Luckily for them, they survived but Master Leen was badly injured. Master Leen begged Gau to leave him but Gau insisted to bring him along.

As for Len Fuuma, he jumped down the cliff, onto a boat, jumped onto the bridge and landed right in front of the Soulfan army. After getting rid of the remaining leaders of Soulfan, Len threatened to kill the Soulfan army if they refused to attack Kuruda.

Evening was approaching and Gau (carrying Master Leen on his back) was nowhere near the Soulfan army. Then, he heard the dreadful sound of war cries. He was too late. At the main gate of Kuruda, Elle was very upset because her plan had failed. She decided to destroy the main gate to prevent the Soulfan armies from entering Kuruda.

While Elle destroyed the main gate, Kyou prayed for Gau’s return.
