Episode 25 - The Attack on Aoiya

Before Aoishi lost conscious, he calls the fight with Kenshin that has ended a few minutes ago. He thinks of Shikijo, Hyottoko, Beshimi and Hannya and of course, Misao. Kenshin and Sanosuke race down the hallway. Ayumi mocks at their futile attempt to return to Aoiya. Their secret weapon of the Juppongatana is arriving very soon to Aoiya.

At Aoiya, Henya drops a couple of bombs on Yahiko. More explosions. Kamatari blows out the flame on his hand, warns Henya to watch where he is dropping his bombs. Henya swoops down from behind and slashes Yahiko. Kaoru becomes very worried, Yahiko has hardly have time to recover from each explosion. However, the perseverance Yahiko is determined to keep his promise to Kenshin. He analyses the situation. There is only one way to win - to attack at Henya's position. If he were Kenshin, he would leap on top of the buildings and propel himself in the sky. But he is not Kenshin, so he has to improvise.

Henya sends down a bundle of bombs. Kaoru and Okina yell at Yahiko to run away but Yahiko remains still. A cloud of dust. Henya thinks that Yahiko is dead but is terribly mistaken. Yahiko has used the impact of the explosion to propel himself into the sky. (In reality, you'll be blown into bits!) He lands on top of Henya and gives him his own version of the Hiten Mitsuguri. Henya crashes to the ground (and also acting as a cushion for Yahiko). Okina is impressed with Yahiko's fighting capabilities at such a young age. Kaoru is happy to know that Yahiko is actually observing all of Kenshin's fighting techniques all this time.

Yahiko faints from his injuries. It's up to Kaoru and Misao to deal with Kamatari. (If you haven't got over the fact that, he's a man. Get over it!) Kaoru observes Kamatari's weapon - a scythe with an iron ball attached to it at the end. She plans their move - she will distract Kamatari while Misao attacks her. Kaoru runs towards and leaps away, giving Misao the signal. Misao runs forward to attack but the Kamatari sends the iron ball right into Misao's ribs. Misao crashes onto the roof top unconscious. Kamatari smirks at their strategy. He swings his scythe vigorously.

Misao has a dream about her time with of Shikijo, Hyottoko, Beshimi, Hannya and Aoishi. Hannya calls out to her. Kenshin has kept his promise. Aoishi is coming home. Misao wakes up and sees Kamatari chasing after Kaoru. Okina passes her a bundle of daggers. Misao throws them at Kamatari. One of the daggers stuck the wooden section of the scythe. Kaoru runs towards and aims at the dagger. The impact breaks the scythe at two. Kamatari is taken back, they were aiming at his weapon all the time.

Kaoru offers to let Kamatari and his men go. Kamatari smirks. Kaoru is at a disadvantage since she has only the handle of her weapon left. Kaoru is not taunted by his words, the Kamiyakenshi style teaches the user to adapt to different situations. No weapon or not, she will not be defeated. She wants to keep her promise to Kenshin. Kamatari (very annoyed) gets ready to attack. Whenever he is man or woman, he will not disgrace Shishio. He attacks, Kaoru evades and injuries him on the knee. Kamatari falls. With his leg broken, he is defeated. He tries to commit suicide but Misao knocks him unconscious.

Shishio's men become frightened. Their leader urges them not to panicked. They still have Iwanbo, who happens to be a big tub of lard with a moronic look. Shishio's men then have second thoughts about him and start to flee. Iwanbo looks bluntly before deciding to leave as well.

Victory is too early to celebrate. They hear a monstrous sound. Sazuchi appears on the palm of the giant, Fuji.

Everybody is loss for words. Saizuchi laughs wickedly as Fuji towers over Aoiya.
