Episode 24

獣の叫び、地獄の戦士!

The beast fighter from Hell

Recca had obtained the 3rd dragon, Homura during his fight with Kukai. With its help, the Hokages had won the 1st match of the Urabutousatsoujin and they were now proceeding onto the 2nd match...

The Hokage were brought into a luxuriously hotel room. Duing which, a bat-costume referee appeared and gave a quick kiss to Recca. Yanagi immediately stepped on his feet in a jealous spurge. While Recca, Fuko, Ganko and Domon were enjoy their rooms, Mikagami and Kagero went back to the battle dome to watch their next opponent.

In the battle dome, Genjurou’s team – Uruha Maboroshin (illusion) defeated their opponent with only one fighter, Jisho who happened to be a hideous creature. Mikagami wondered what did Genjurou do create such a creature.

The next morning, Recca was having his morning training when Yanagi appeared. Recca assured Yanagi that she was one of the Hokage because she agreed to the Urabutousatsoujin’s conditions. They were getting lovely dovey when Fuko butt in. She told them that she had found a castle that she want to show everybody. Everybody awed at the sight. Fuko left Recca and Yanagi to explore when she dragged Domon for their training.

While Fuko was dargging the protesting Domon, she sensed somebody was following them. She sees a figure running among the forest. They chased after him to some pathway and stopped after losing sight of the spy. Then, a trapdoor beneath them opened and they fell into the darkness. Inside the castle, Recca and Yanagi were admiring the jewels that were displayed at the sides of the hallway. Then, they heard a crashing sound. They followed the sound and entered into a room.  In the room, they find vertical tubes filled with liquid. One of the tubes had a name written at the bottom, Yanagi tried to read it – Ji..Ji…

“Jisho” said Kurei from behind. Recca instantly stood in front of Yanagi in a protecting position. Kurei ‘welcomed’ them and told them that these tubes were made to cultivate clones for his father’s research on immorality. He pointed to a tube which had Yanagi’s name written on it. This tube was especially made to cultivate Yanagi’s cells so that they don’t have to worry if she die during the experiments. Recca replied that he would not give up Yanagi to them. Kurei walked away, saying that he would be waiting for him if he survived the following matches.

In another room, Neon reported to Kurei that his order was completed. Kurei was pleased – the trap had been set. Back to the battle dome, Recca was wondering where Fuko and Domon might be. Ganko told them that they havd not brought their maudoughs along. Meanwhile, Fuko and Domon were at the bottom of a very deep hole. Domon tried to punch through the wall but it was too thick. Fuko wished that she had brought Fujin along. Domon saw a button on the wall and presseed it before Fuko could stop him. A ominous rumbling sound was heard. Water rushed in and both Fuko and Domon screamed for help.

Back to the dome, the referee (dressed in a mouse-costume) introduced the teams for the 2nd match of the Urabutousatsoujin  – Uruha Maboroshin and Hokage. For the 1st round, Jisho from Uruha Maboroshin was supposed Fuko from Hokage. Recca paniked at Fuko's absence even though the referee allowed him to switch members. Mikagami analyzed the situation, if Fuko and Domon were still absent, they would lose 2 rounds but if they could win the next 2 rounds, it would make a tied. Recca felt that it wasn’t right to drag Yanagi or Kagero to fight. (Actually, it would be a good idea for Kagero to fight since she's an immortal.)

The referee was about to announce that the Hokage had lost the 1st round when Koganei interrupted by throwing his Anki Kougan onto the arena. He jumped down and greeted the Hokage. In the room, Raiha asked Kurei if he planned to draw Koganei out. Kurei indirectly said that he want the traitor Koganei to die in the Urabutousatsoujin. Raiha questioned Koganei's irrational decision to go to Urabutousatsoujin.

Even though Koganei seemed to be the solution, Recca didn’t trust him because he was a former Uruha member  involved in the kidnap of Yanagi and Tatesako. Yanagi and Ganko reassured him that Koganei was a good boy. Koganei said that he want to fight to protect Yanagi. He hugged her after Recca agreed to let him join the team. Recca was so jealous that he grabbed him and threw him aside. Mikagami caught Koganei and told that he did not have a problem about him in the team (considering the fight that they had previously). However, he hit Koganei on the head, warning him not to touch Yanagi again. Recca notified the referee of the change – Jisho from Uruha Maboroshin VS Koganei Koaru from Hokage.

Genjurou found it ironic that he and Koganei were once allies and now enemies. He ordered Jisho to fight. Koganei’s quick movements avoided the attack. Transforming his Anki Kougan to a boomerang, he threw it, injuring Jisho. Recca believed that the winner was been decided. However, Mikagami disagreed, commenting on how stern Koganei’s eyes were. Genjurou decided to transform Jisho into his real self, he put his fingers into Jisho’s forehead, Jisho immediately changed into a 4-leg beast. How was Genjurou able to it?

While Koganei was fighting with Jisho, Fuko and Domon were still trapped and were at the risk of being drowned...
