Though King Eva Stolla had meant Gau Ban for the first time, he was willing to let him try based on his victory over the Soulfan army at Blorahan. He then indirectly insulted G by saying that Gau though a infamous Var, had comparable powers towards his. G, angered, accepted Gau to be his opponent.
G did proved his worthy as a Cevar as he made Gau unconscious after 3 blows. In his sub-conscious state, Gau remembered his happy childhood memories of his hometown and his parents before the bandits came to destroy the town as well as killing its people. Feeling guilty of not protecting his parents because he was weak, Gau vowed to his parents that he would become stronger. Thus, Gau told himself that he must get up. G smirked as he told Gau that he had 4 more blows to go.
Gau got up and fought and surprisingly evaded the G’s 4th blow. G then mocked at Gau’s fighting ability. Gau replied that he would admit that G was strong but he would never give in to the madness that G had fallen into. G answered that nobody would understand his views about increasing his strength to the ultimate limit & beyond and would probably never will. Then, he felt blood upon his face and touched his cheek. Apparently, Gau had managed to create a cut on G’s cheek. Upset, G gave the 5th blow – a high kick. Gau crashed into the wall but remained conscious. When G saw Gau’s eyes, he laughed because he felt that Gau was just like him. Gau desired to become strong that his eyes were burning like a beast. He encouraged Gau to release the wild beast in him.
Through the burning streets, Elle was running against time. She recalled telling Gau that as long as he worked hard, he would reach his dream and Kuruda was a place of dreams. Though Kuruda may be burned to the ground, its pride and spirit would still live on forever. Meanwhile, Kai Sink reported to Scar Face and Dais that the evacuation had been completed and they could go on with their work. Scar Face wasn’t happy about destroying the streets of Kuruda but Kai Sink rebut that they had to destroy the burning houses in order to stop the fire from spreading.
Once again, Gau was knocked out cold after G’s 6th and 7th blow. In his sub-conscious, Gau recalled Elle telling him that he should choose his own path no matter where it leads. Then, he heard Elle yelling at him to get up and fight like he did at Blorahan, just as Kyou was fighting for her life. Gau remembered Dais mentioning that G, 7th letter of Latin alphabet means ‘the strongest’. Then, a realization came to him that G could only do 7 blows.
With renewed strength, Gau recited the Marital Art Language and defeated G. The dying G (whose body was turning into numerous talismans) explained to Gau that the Jama talismans had the ability to bring the dead back to time despite the disadvantage of the time limit. 3 years ago, he had planned to kill Eva Stolla but was killed by his best friend, Scar Face. After training himself for the past 3 years ago (after his supposed death), G intended to kill Eva Stolla and afterwards, Scar Face. Though defeated by Gau, G felt a sense of peace and was happy to have Gau as his opponent. He hoped that Gau would grow up to be a fighter with a pure heart. At his last words, G died as his body was fully transformed into a cloud of talismans. Darkness (who was watching the entire battle) secretly took some of the talismans and dematerialized.
On the 18th of the 10month, Kyou (who was still recovering from her injuries) decided to stop worrying about her being burden and look forward to the future. When she asked Gau about the talismans, he replied that though the talismans were meant for evil, they looked beautiful and pure.
