Gau was facing death for the first
time and he’s afraid. Yet, he remembered his promise that he would master the
Shadow skill technique, Kanon…
Darkness read Gau’s mind and encouraged him to use Kanon. Gau immediately got up and fought. During his extremely futile attempts to hit Darkness (an supernatural being), he felt the same sensation as he had felt when he was alone. At the outer rims of the forest, Dais threw his boomerang.
Gau charged towards Darkness in an insane frenzy. Then, a huge coat fell upon him and Gau collapsed into Dais’ arms. Dais told him that he would take care of Darkness. At this, Darkness tried to threaten Dais that he would return him to the dust but Dais replied that he didn’t mind it at all because his days were numbered. Then, he dared Darkness to reveal his true form.
At the Octopus Restaurant, Elle hurried off to the forest, promising Kyou that she would bring Gau back.
Darkness produced a shockwave towards Dais whom counter reacted it with his boomerang that came from behind. Dais threw the boomerang and disappeared. Using his ‘Black Eye’, Darkness tried to sense Dais’ presence, admitting that Dais was more skilled than Gau. With the ‘hachiyou’ technique, Dais attacked Darkness in 8 different directions with his boomerang that had spit up into 8 separate boomerangs. Still, Darkness defended himself nonchalantly as he used his godly mediations that had the ability to counter react a Cevar’s Martial Art Language. Elle arrived at the scene and attempted to attack Darkness who merely tossed her aside. She slowly got up and sees Gau in a pool of blood. Dais told her to stay out of his battle despite Elle’s protestations over his health conditions.
Kai Sink met up Scar Face at the Watchtower and questioned Scar Face’s involvement of the missing 4 people, Darkness, Dais, Elle and Gau. Scar Face replied that if they weren’t able to face up to the challenge, they should die though he himself didn’t want Dais to get involved. On the other hand, Dais would rather prefer dying an honorable death in a battlefield to spending his last moments on a bed. Changing the subject, Kai Sink reported that Elle had broken the Rules of the 4 Fighters by fighting with Sai Oh. Though Elle was not entirely responsible for Sai Oh’s death, they had to take action quickly or else something worse would happen.
As the battle between Dais and Darkness continued, Dais created a shield barrier that took Darkness by surprise. Using Harken sword fist, Dais not only attacked Darkness but also defended himself at the same time. He told Elle that she must remember that her techniques were meant for both offensive and defensive moves. Thus, having more advantages to her side. Dais then used ‘Kabuto’ (a technique that Elle was unaware of), rendering Darkness’ Black Eye useless. Once again, Dais dared Darkness to reveal his true form, which he did so.
Dais recited the Marital Art Language, believing that as long as he was standing, he could still fight. He threw his boomerang, Darkness strike. Amazingly, Dais caught Darkness’ sword between the palms of his hands. Darkness analyzed Dais’ severe condition and questioned his ability to defeat him since he did not have his boomerang. Dais replied that he would defeat him through his soul and the souls of those he killed. Meanwhile, Gau struggled to get up.
Darkness slashed Dais. He fell but disappeared with his ‘Kamui’ technique. From behind, Dais used Kuruda Annihilation Technique, Raypia (together with the help of his boomerang that appeared somewhere) and penetrated right through Darkness’ body. Elle was exclaimed as the boomerang had sped up the ‘Raypia’ intensively. Darkness was taken back, realizing that Dais had been tricking him all the while as he was creating his secret move. Though Darkness was an immortal being in the human world and Dais was dead, he admitted that Dais was the winner and promised never to forget his fighting spirit.
Suddenly, Elle and Darkness felt the ground vibrating. Gau attacked from behind Dais’ body and produced ‘Kanon’. Darkness disappeared into the waves and Elle was awed that Gau had mastered the Kanon technique within a short time. Then, Gau collapsed onto his knees and cried. Elle silently wished Dais to rest in peace
The fear of death that laid in the
fear of darkness had left, allowing light to return. It was the morning where
people woke up to see the sun and gave thanks that they were alive and well to
witness a new day. Black Wing Dais Lag had opened his wings wide in the morning
sunshine, basking in the sun’s finest glory till his death...
